"I had my own TV show, and during that time I even got more famous. We were partying down at this club called Lit down in Miami and he sent his bouncers over to my table to bring me like, "Lil Wayne wants to hang out with you," and I had a drink and I dropped it. I hung out and we took a shot together... I was like, 'This is the coolest thing, this is my bucket list, this is everything I want."
Ryan Lochte is one of the most decorated US swimmers in history with 12 Olympic laurels including six gold and a combined total of 39 World Championships medals (including both short and long courses).
Ryan Lochte commented on Team USA's performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics
Ryan Lochte shed light on Team USA's performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This came in September 2024, just a month after the conclusion of the quadrennial games.
In an interview with 'People', Lochte expressed his disappointment with Team USA and revealed that the team couldn't perform as well as he had expected before the event. He said:
"I'm kind of disappointed in USA Swimming. We did not do as well as I thought. And I talked to Michael Phelps about this and we had the same exact answers. We thought we should have done better just because that's what USA Swimming is, we're dominant."
The US Swimming team clinched 28 medals at the Paris event, which included 8 golds, 13 silver medals, and 7 bronze. However, only one male swimmer, Bobby Finke managed to win an individual event (1500m freestyle) during the Games.
