Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone expressed that she was not sure about her plans for the upcoming season while receiving the World Athletics 'Female Track Athlete of The Year' Award. The American athlete revealed how she should get back on track to begin preparations for the upcoming season like Olympic gold medalist and world record holder Mondo Duplantis.

McLaughlin-Levrone made a comeback in the 2024 season after skipping major events of 2023 due to a knee injury. The American was very selective with her appearances in this season keeping the Paris Olympics and her title defence in foresight. She stunned the world with her performance at the quadrennial games where she broke the World Record in the women's 400m hurdles for the sixth time.

Moreover, she was a part of the women's 4x400m relay team that won the gold medal. Recently, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone was honored with the 'Female Track Athlete of The Year' Award for her incredible performances and spoke about her plans for the upcoming season.

The American athlete expressed doubts about her plans when asked about the possibility of performing in the 400m alongside her marquee event the 400m hurdles.

"Honestly, I don't even know. Mondo is already training, I should be back home but honestly I can't even tell you, I just, the number thing is always being healthy and for our team taking it one step at a time making sure we are doing what we need to do and we make some decisions as we go and its worked so far and I'm excited to keep going," she said.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone took to Instagram to reflect on her campaign after successfully defending her title in the women's 400m hurdles at the Paris Olympics. She expressed her gratitude for being able to represent her country on the global stage as well as emerge victorious.

"What an honor, a blessing, and a privilege. I never want to take these moments for granted. In a week where my faith was tried, my peace wavered, and the weight of the world began to descend, God was beyond gracious. 🥹," she wrote.
"Once again, I am immensely grateful to have had the opportunity to represent my country on the world’s biggest stage. What a blessing. ✨🇺🇸," she added.

Furthermore, she thanked her family and coaches for their unwavering support and constant encouragement through all the ups and downs.
