American long jumper Tara Davis-Woodhall has opened up about the reminder she received from the almighty regarding her married life with Hunter Woodhall. This comes just a few days after the couple's visit to Arkansas, where they were honored for their achievements at the Olympics.
Tara and Hunter have been married since 2022 and both clinched gold medals in Paris this year. While Davis-Woodhall won the Olympic gold in women's long jump, her husband touched the same feat in the men's 400m T62 at the Paralympics 2024. The 25-year-old shed light on a recent incident that reminded her of this blessed life with her husband.
In a post on her Threads handle, Davis-Woodhall wrote:
"I log on to social media wishing I had these other peoples lives. For a split second I take everything I’ve done for granted. I lock my phone, but immediately get a notification and this was it…"
Tara Davis-Woodhall is a firm believer in signs from God and significant numerological figures. Even after her gold medal conquest at the French capital, she revealed that she had thought earlier that she was going to win the Olympics on '808' (which she eventually did on the eighth day of the eighth month of the year).
Tara Davis-Woodhall opened up about her and her husband's favorite foods
Tara Davis-Woodhall recently also commented on her favorite foods amid the gruelling training practices of a track and field athlete. This came just a month after her successful campaign at the Paris quadrennial event.
In an interview with 'EatingWell" in September 2024, Davis-Woodhall revealed that even though she and her husband, Hunter Woodhall, mostly feed on steaks and sweet potatoes, pasta is one of her favorite things to eat. She also mentioned that she eats pasta a day before her long jump competitions. She said:
"Nutrition is a big part of my success right now. Hunter and I, we stick to steak, sweet potatoes and whatever greens we have on deck. But my favorite meal is pasta, and I eat that the day before competition. It doesn't really matter what type of pasta."
During the interview, Davis-Woodhall also stated that sour strips and beef sticks are some of the common snacks that she carries with her to track meets. Besides, healthy energy drinks are also an important component of her life.
