Noah Lyles' girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, recently appeared on the podcast Sim Soul Sessions by Simone Clarke, where she opened up about her mindset on getting forgiven by her trollers. The Jamaican athlete recently faced extreme cyberbullying during the Paris Olympics after Lyles revealed a statement concerning the privacy of the Jamaican track and field camp.

In a recent interview with Track World News hosted by Colin Waitzman, Noah Lyles made a bold statement about knowing inside information about the Jamaican camp and credited his girlfriend for the same. He said:

"Junelle being Jamaican and having trained in MVP, I have been getting the drama from the Jamaican camp at least five years now. There is a lot of times where I make references about Jamaicans but I am not trying to go back and forth, like I know information that other people don't."

Following this statement, Bromfield has been receiving immense hate from the Jamaican crowd on social media. She revealed that she also received death threats from fans on her DMs. Amidst this, she was invited by Simone Clarke for a conversation on the topic, where she addressed a comment by the fan that stated, "Shall Jamaica forgive Junelle?"

The track and field athlete issued a bold reply to the comments, saying that she is not "looking for forgiveness" for the people who abused her about her family and her mother.

"Honestly, I would say, I'm not looking for forgiveness especially from the people who came in my DM, talking about my family, talking about my mom," said Junelle Bromfield. Those are the people asking for forgiveness and I'm like how are you going to forgive somebody who did not do anything wrong." (12:44 - 13:16)

Junelle Bromfield has been a victim of cyberbullying ever since Noah Lyles made a statement on the podcast. Amidst this controversy where fans raised questions on the relationship between the couple, Lyles showcased an adorable gesture of support by penning a heartwarming note on Instagram.

He shared a picture of Bromfield in her Jamaican track suit and added a note in the caption, where he lauded his girlfriend for her strength during the hate she received. He appreciated her accomplishments and wrote:

"I just want to say how incredibly proud I am of my GF and give her the flowers she deserves now 💐. She has been through so much in her life that I could never imagine fighting through. Beyond that she is a survivor, 2x Olympian, Olympic medalists, Multi world championship medalist, and has been representing Jamaica on the world stage since she was 8 years old."

Noah Lyles added that he was impressed with the way Bromfield handled the disrespect that came her way from her fellow countrymen.

"But the most impressive thing I’ve seen recently is how she’s dealt with the pure disrespect and hatred towards her from her own country. This woman has been attacked by people who have never met her, heard her name before, never seen her smile, or heard what she believes in. But she keeps moving forward knowing that God will always make a way. Thats why God keeps blessing her," he said.

In the interview with Simone Clarke, Noah Lyles' girlfriend also revealed that she was afraid to come home after she received traumatizing cyberbulling experience amidst the Paris Olympics.
