Lindsey Vonn penned a heartwarming note for her father

Lindsey Vonn was born to Alan Kildow and Libda Lindy Anne Lund; however, her mother unfortunately passed away in 2022 after being diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. After her passing, the skier now only has her father to share all the forts and bad incidents of life, and she expressed this emotion in a social media post on the occasion of Father's Day.

Vonn shared a bunch of pictures on Instagram with her father, which showcased moments of her childhood with him to moments of her accomplishing notable skiing wins in front of him. The post's caption read:

"Happy Father’s Day Dad. Thank you for sharing your love of the mountain with me. It’s where we always spoke the same language, even if we didn’t speak. Thank you for believing in me when no one else did. Unfortunately, it’s just us now… you’re the only parental figure I can call when I want to share good news or tell you when I’m sad. Mom, Grandma, and Grandpa can only guide us from above. But I’m thankful every day that I still have you. Love you Dad," wrote Vonn.

The 40-year-old and her sister once wrote the three best lessons ever taught by their dad and framed them to give as a gift to him. Vonn calls it one of the most memorable things she has gotten him.
