Quincy Wilson recently shared that he was feeling nervous during the 4x400m relay final at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Letsile Tebogo, known for his speed, was about to turn the tide in Botswana's favour, however, Wilson said he trusted Rai Benjamin as an older brother that he would win the medal.

Wilson helped the US qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics 4x400 meter relay final after finishing third in the heats. Although he was not a part of the final, the US ended up winning the gold medal while Botswana and Great Britain finished second and third respectively.

In the podcast 'Underdawg Media - Quincy Wilson OLY', the interviewer asked:

What was going through your head when Rai Benjamin rounded the bend for that last 100 meters and Tebogo was hanging in there about like 0.1 seconds? (at 4:23)

Wilson replied:

"I was very nervous, you know because you are in that position where you are battling for first and second. I don't know I was gonna be able to get that medal once I have seen that, once they showed me where the team was. But it really was just really, about um, I knew and I trusted Rai. He is like the other older brother to me. So I knew he'll get the job done. He said he's gonna get the job done that morning."

The 16-year-old Quincy Wilson made history this year by becoming the youngest male US track and field athlete to compete in the Olympics.
