Nebraska Volleyball's Lexi Rodriguez penned an emotional message as she bid goodbye to the team one last time. The American athlete expressed her thoughts as she reflected on her journey as a part of the team and thanked the fans for their unwavering support throughout the last four years.

Nebraska's Volleyball team put forward incredible performances throughout the 2024 NCAA Division I season and emerged as one of the best teams in the league. However, the team could not hold on to their initial momentum in the semi-finals of the DI Championships and lost to Penn State in a thrilling five-setter match.

Lexi Rodriguez, who was competing in her final year on the team, took to Instagram to share an emotional message reflecting on her journey. The 21-year-old athlete shed light on her transformation as part of the team.

She would be turning pro and has signed a deal with League One Volleyball's Omaha team.

"Hi Husker Nation, it's Lexi. I wanted to say Thank you one last time. The Last four years have been better than I could have ever imagined. I know I never won a National Championship but to me I won way more just by being a part of this program. Nebraska Volleyball allowed a little girl's dream to come true - the dream of playing for something bigger than herself. The dream of playing the sport she loves on the biggest stage and a dream of finding a family that stuck by us through everything," she said.
"A little girl is now a young woman who has grown in many ways that she can explain. She is starting her next chapter now. But she is lucky enough to say that she will always be a husker. So thank you. As always, Go Big Red!" she added.

"All the people, all my teammates, and all the coaches. Just everyone, every single person part of this program. Just truly amazing people and they just really changed my life and they just believed in me every single person, every single day from the moment I stepped on campus and you can't find that anywhere, you truly can't. I'm just so grateful for everyone and I'll say it for my entire life that this program was the best thing that ever happened to me," she said.
