"I sat with the GOAT" - Serena Williams shares strongly worded message for Simone Biles upon meeting her at exclusive event

Serena Williams recently shared a strongly worded message for gymnastics icon Simone Biles at an event jointly organized by Audemars Piguet, Vanity Fair, and The Female Quotient. Both legendary athletes featured in the event where they engaged in a joint panel discussion.

Williams and Biles are considered leaders in their respective sports, both on and off the field. While Williams retired from tennis as one of the greatest athletes of the sport, winning 23 Grand Slam women’s singles titles, Biles is the most decorated gymnast in World Championships history with 30 combined medals, including 23 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze.

After meeting Biles at the exclusive event, Williams shared a strongly worded message for the 11-time Olympic medalist on her Instagram, writing:

“Yesterday, I sat with the GOAT @simonebiles at AN EVENING OF IMPACTFUL CONVERSATION with @audemarspiguet @vanityfair @femalequotient and a house full of women. I love to see it.”

In addition to posting a heartfelt note for Biles, Williams also shared pictures with the gymnast from the event. She also posted photos with Winnie Harlow and Radhika Jones, the editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair.

At the event, both Serena Williams and Simone Biles were spotted in black outfits. The tennis icon opted for an over-the-knee dress while the 27-year-old gymnast made an impression in a mini dress.

Simone Biles picks Serena Williams as her go-to doubles partner in tennis

Simone Biles picked Serena Williams as her ideal tennis doubles partner. While attending the 2024 US Open, the gymnast was asked by the tournament organizers whom she would pick as her doubles partner.

The seven-time Olympic gold medalist chose Williams and called her the Greatest of All Time, saying:

“Definitely Serena Williams. I mean, she’s the GOAT in tennis, so she would be my doubles partner”

Additionally, when asked who she thought would be a great gymnast, Biles named Coco Gauff as her pick.

Notably, Biles was one of the top personalities who attended the US Open this year. The US Open also shared glimpses of Biles' presence at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Instagram.

The gymnastics star turned heads in a white tank crop top, baggy trousers, and a white open shirt, accessorizing them with her signature GOAT necklace and bracelets.
