11-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles recently opened up about her mental health journey to inspire rap icon Snoop Dogg's team on the singing reality show The Voice. Biles joined season 26 of the show as the playoffs advisor for Team Snoop after wrapping up her 2024 season after the Gold Over America Tour.

In her new role as the guest mentor, the 27-year-old gymnast worked collaboratively with the rapper to help contestants build confidence and cope with the mental pressure while connecting with the audiences on the show. She also spoke about her close bond with Snoop Dogg and stated:

"We were able to riff off each other and give the artists the best insight going into the next round. It was pretty easy, simple. We’re both very mellow. But if we need to bring that energy up, then we can. For us, it was about instilling confidence going into the next week," Biles said (via The Associated Press)."

In a recent update from The Voice's stage, Christina Eagle, a member of Team Snoop, asked Simone Biles for her perspective on handling mental health struggles. To this, the reigning triple Olympic champion acknowledged that it's not easy and she is still navigating these challenges in her life.

"It's not easy every single day, I still go through ups and downs but that is the mental health journey. Believe in yourself and it gets better and also it's okay to not be okay." (via The Voice's YouTube channel) [2:22 onwards]

Simone Biles competed in her third successive Olympic Games in Paris, earning three gold medals in the team all-around, individual all-around, and vault events, along with a silver in the floor exercise.

This achievement brought her total Olympic medals tally to 11, making her the most decorated Olympic gymnast for the United States, surpassing Shannon Miller, with whom she was previously tied at seven medals.

Leveraging her platform, Biles is now focused on inspiring the next generation and giving back to the community this Thanksgiving. As a part of this effort, the gymnast has teamed up with DICK's Sporting Goods to support youth sports organizations through philanthropic grants. Speaking on this, she said:

"Giving back to the community is a given. They’ve supported me throughout my entire career. At the end of the day, if I can do something to support them — to help uplift and to bring some holiday cheer, especially around some hard times like this — that’s what I’m going to do." (via US Weekly)

Simone Biles also expressed that she wanted to focus on this cause, especially given the number of kids growing up involved in sports.
