Simone Biles recently spoke about her reaction to her husband Jonathan Owens' touchdown during his game. He is currently a professional football safety for the Chicago Bears of the NFL.
Biles and Owens have always been supportive of each other's careers at every step. Be it the former's Olympic games or the latter's NFL matches, both of them are always seen cheering for each other.
The gymnast competed at the Paris Olympics in 2024, and during this, Jonathan was present in the stadium to cheer for his wife. He was also seen noting down her points while she was performing, showcasing a true gesture of support.
Similarly, Biles also never falls short of being the biggest cheerleader for her husband, as she recently appeared in an interview with Sports Illustrated, where she spoke about her husband's touchdown. She revealed that she was extremely happy and was screaming at the top of her lungs.
"Oh my God. My reaction when I saw my husband's touchdown earlier this season I really screamed so hard and so loud that I thought I was going to pass out like I couldn't breathe so I was very ecstatic." said Simone Biles. (0:54 onwards)
Simone Biles revealed the reason behind attending Jonathan Owens' NFL games
In a recent interview with Olympics.com, Simone Biles opened up about the significance of attending Jonathan Owens' NFL matches. She is usually seen cheering for him on the sidelines and is witnessed wearing customized attire that has Owens' jersey number and his name printed on it. She opened up about her attending his matches and said that it meant a lot for Owens.
"Oh my gosh. It means the world to me. And I know it means so much to him for me to be able to go and support his games. For him, it means a lot for me to go on the sideline before because he says that's his pre-game routine. So he's always looking for me on the sideline to give him, like, good luck vibes and wishes. That's just his superstition," said Simone Biles.
She further spoke about Owens's chill nature and added:
"Well, usually, you're not allowed to be with him the night before, so we sleep separately in the hotel. And then after that, he usually comes up, gives me a kiss goodbye. So, it's very ... He's so chill. He's relaxed. And that's also his personality. Not as stressed as me."
Simone Biles had a successful run in the 2024 season as she won four medals at the Paris Olympics, which included three gold medals in the team all-around event, individual all-around event, and the vault exercise. Along with this, she won a silver medal in the floor exercise and also became the most decorated gymnast of all time with her remarkable accolades.
