"I wanna show her my new medal"- Tara Davis-Woodhall opens up about her wish to see Billi Eilish at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics

Tara Davis-Woodhall delivered a sterling performance at the Paris Olympics by winning gold in the women's long jump competition on August 8. After taking the gold, the American athlete opened up about her wish to see Billie Eilish at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

The 25-year-old stood atop the podium after a jump of 7.10m, followed by Malaika Mihambo, who was looking to defend her Olympic title. The German athlete took the silver medal after scoring 6.98m in her fifth attempt, and in third place was Jasmine Moore, who registered a jump of 6.96m.

After clinching the gold medal, Davis-Woodhall opened up about her wish to see Billie Eilish at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Summer Games on August 11, 2024. She appears to be a fan of the pop singer, as she shared her thoughts on X (formerly Twitter):

"PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME MEET BILLIE EILISH AT THE CLOSING CEREMONY.😭 i wanna show her my new medal."

Shortly before the commencement of the Paris Olympics, Davis-Woodhall shared her desire of having the singer watch her compete at the Games.

Billie Eilish recently released a studio album called, "Hit Me Hard and Soft," and Tara Davis-Woodhall was seen dancing to her songs during her training sessions ahead of the Paris Olympics. Following this, she opened up about her love for music, making special mention of Eilish. She also spoke about her wish to invite Billie Eilish to the 2024 Summer Games.

"My playlist ranges from like country to hip-hop to slow music to Billie," said Tara Davis-Woodhall. "I can get lit to anything. But that's the problem."

When she was called Eilish's biggest fan recently by the interviewer, the athlete said:

"Bow down. I'll bow down. I'll get on my knees for her for sure. Please come to my meet, come Paris. Watch me compete. Please?"

Along with this, the long jump athlete also exuded excitement after Eilish announced the release of her new album. Davis-Woodhall took to her Instagram and wrote:

"Is my depression cured or is Billie releasing a new album?"

She added:

"My social media will be all Billie Eilish for the next couple of months."

Reportedly, Eilish along with Snoop Dogg and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
