Noah Lyles recently reflected on the possibility of competing in Jamaica following the controversy surrounding his fiance Junelle Bromfield allegedly facing abuse during the Paris Olympics. Bromfield faced heavy criticism during the Paris Games for supporting the American sprinter.

Lyles won the 100m event in the French capital after edging out Jamaica's Kishane Thompson by a razor-thin margin of 0.005 seconds. While the Jamaican sprinter clocked a time of 9.79 (.789), the American star posted 9.79 (.784).

Bromfield who was seen cheering for Lyles from the stands received harsh criticism for seemingly backing her boyfriend over her fellow teammate Thompson. She was called a "sell-out," and received multiple death threats.

Amid the controversy surrounding the American sprinter and his fiance, one of the fans expressed their curiosity about whether Lyles will compete in Jamaica.

"With everything that’s happened with Noah & his fiancé, I wonder if he’d race in Jamaica?? @LylesNoah I would buy a ticket if you announced running in GST Jamaica," wrote the fan.

Acknowledging their curiosity, Lyles stated that while he is navigating a hectic schedule, he will consider if he can make it work.

"I will keep that in mind," Lyles wrote. "Unfortunately the track meet is already in a weird spot for my training. But I will definitely keep it in mind if we can make it work."

The first stop of the Grand Slam Track series debut will be held at Independence Park, in Kingston, Jamaica from April 4 to 6, 2025.
