Ilona Maher shares a hilarious Halloween wish with a picture from a nervous moment at Dancing With the Stars

Ilona Maher hilariously shared how she and her Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) partner Alan Bertsen were genuinely scared for the scores on the Halloween Nightmares Night. Maher came fresh off her Paris Olympic success to compete in the 33rd season of DWTS as a celebrity contestant.

Maher, 29, the most-followed rugby player on social media, anchored the US women's rugby sevens team to the coveted bronze. Besides her rugby prowess, Maher's role as a body positivity advocate received immense love from fans worldwide. She has been vocal about embracing feminity despite playing masculine sports, normalizing the application of make-up before her rugby matches. She also empowered women with bikini-clad pictures in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue.

The 29-year-old graced the Dancing With the Stars roster and was paired with professional dancer Alan Bersten. She has turned heads with her performances, especially her rumba on Dedication Night and jazz on Disney Week, securing her name among the top contestants.

For Halloween Nightmares Night on October 30, 2024, Ilona Maher and her dancing partner performed a tango to 'Psycho Killer' by Miley Cyrus. Since Maher's Halloween Nightmare involved being chased by a killer, she played the role of one to face her fears.

"For Halloween nightmares, I'm dancing as a psycho killer," Maher said. "I'm not the biggest fan of Halloween, so I am facing my fears with this."

In her recent Instagram post, she hilariously wished Halloween to her fans with a snap of her and Bersten awaiting the scores after their cha-cha performance on the Halloween Night dance-off.

"Happy Halloween! Here’s a photo of us actually scared for our lives last show," her caption read.

Maher and Bersten went against Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach in the face-off round but the latter pair was announced the winners. Maher's tango performance on 'Psycho Killer' earned her 24 out of 30.

Ilona Maher shared how one of her visits to the salon for a pedicure turned into something scary

Maher recently took to her TikTok handle to share the nightmarish story of her visit to a salon for a pedicure. She was the last customer in the salon with a few staff already heading home. Right then, a man entered and asked for a pedicure. While the staff sat him, they asked Maher to wait even after her nail polish dried.

As the man left about half an hour later, the salon staff apologized to Ilona Maher for asking her to wait. The staff then revealed that they kept her for safety. Maher recalled a dangerous encounter and left a message for her fans.

"This guy looks me in the eye and says, 'Can I go home with you?' I'm like, 'No,' and he says, 'Why not?' I just keep walking..."It's insane out there, and I want you to know you can keep me for as long as you want. You can keep me for another hour. I'll cancel my plans if you want me for safety, or you want somebody there [to] just be a presence. It's dangerous out there," she said.

During her appearance at the Minnesota Vikings vs Los Angeles Rams matchup, Maher confirmed that she was ready for love, especially if NFL players approached her.
