Ilona Maher teases fans with unseen DWTS behind-the-scenes moment with partner Alan Bersten as choreographer helps Olympian with paso skirt

Ilona Maher shared a behind-the-scenes clip this week, from her Dancing with the Stars journey, showing a candid moment with partner Alan Bersten. In the video, the choreographer was helping the TikTok star adjust her paso skirt during rehearsals.

The 28-year-old recently concluded a demanding four-month stint on DWTS. Maher joined the competition after securing a bronze medal with the USA in the women's rugby sevens at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The duo of Maher and Bersten wrapped up the show finishing as runners-up in November.

Recalling DWTS's journey, the rugby star said on Instagram that she uncovered several behind-the-scenes clips and plans to share more. In a recently posted video, Bersten adjusted her paso skirt as she stood in front of a mirror with her arms outstretched. She also teased more similar clips to come.

In the caption to the post, Maher referred to the clips as a Christmas gift for her fans. She wrote:

"Lost @dancingwiththestars files: even though the season is over, I'm finding a lot of clips, and I know y'all will eat these up. Here's our Christmas gift to you. More to come."

She also wrote:

"Real partners help each other with their paso skirts."

Ilona Maher recently wrapped up her DWTS journey alongside dance partner Alan Bersten. Following their runner-up finish in the finale, the duo expressed their excitement about completing the competition. The rugby star also shared her gratitude for gaining a lifelong friend in Bersten.

Following the conclusion of the show, Maher spoke in an interview and was asked about her partnership with Bersten. Maher responded (via Entertainment Tonight),

"I didn't expect this to happen, but I think having somebody cuz we spent every day together that like truly a genuine friend, somebody who I hope to connect with for the rest of my life like, this has been amazing, and it's been tough at times but like to go through something like this, it bonds you."

Bersten, meanwhile, expressed his immense pride in Maher. He also said that words couldn't fully capture how proud he felt of her. He reflected on how fortunate he was to have met her, adding he was grateful their friendship would continue beyond the show.
