It's a well-known fact that Jordan Chiles is a huge fan of American rapper Megan Thee Stallion. The Olympic gymnast has expressed her admiration for the rapper over the year, and now in a wholesome moment for her, Megan has vowed to support Chiles at the Paris Olympics, starting next month from July 26.
Chiles has been at the forefront of American gymnastics after stepping up in the absence of Simone Biles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The 23-year-old left Tokyo with a silver medal, and went on to win two gold medals at the World Championships, one each in 2022 and 2023.
Ahead of the U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Team Trials 2024, Chiles is one of the favorites to make it onto the five-member women's team for the 2024 Olympics. If she qualifies, it will mark her second Olympic appearance and a potential shot at a gold medal. It will also mark a special moment for her as the woman she idolizes will be supporting her as a fan in the stands in Paris.
Jordan Chiles recently got a chance to meet Megan Thee Stallion, and after sharing some wholesome moments together, the rapper expressed her admiration for the gymnast and her style. She also claimed that she would support Chiles in Paris, where the gymnast hopes to win her first Olympic gold medal.
She said (via ESPN):
"You is her..Imma be out there (Paris) my friend! I wanna support you."
Chiles expressed her fandom for Megan Thee Stallion in an interview with Essence in 2022.
“You know, [Megan’s music] always be hyping me up all the time,” she said. “Thee Stallion always just knows how to get to the key point in her raps."
Jordan Chiles is also a fan of Lizzo and Normani
Jordan Chiles' favorite artist is Normani, she claimed in her interview with Essence.
The Olympic medalist revealed being a fan of her ‘unique voice’ and relating to her music.
"My favorite artist is Normani. And her voice is so unique that whenever I listen to her music, I feel like I just can feel what she’s talking about," Chiles claimed.
Another pop star Chiles is a fan of and is inspired by is Lizzo, who rose to fame after the album "Cuz I Love You". When Chiles scored a perfect 10 routine at UCLA during Black History Month in 2022, Lizzo reposted the routine on X, writing:
"MAKING BLACK HISTORY IN BLACK HISTORY MONTH! YESSS"
Jordan Chiles responded with more love and fandom, calling the American singer an ‘inspiration and an icon’:
