Fresh off her victory at the Paris Olympics, Gabby Thomas returned to her former track and field team at Harvard University. Thomas secured three gold medals at the Paris Games and successfully headlined the Athlos NYC by finishing in second place in the 200m event.

Before pursuing her master's degree in epidemiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Thomas completed her graduation in neurobiology and global health from Harvard University. At the French capital, she secured her first Olympic gold medal in the 200m event after clocking a time of 21.83 seconds to leave behind Julien Alfred and Brittany Brown, who posted 22.08 and 22.20 seconds, respectively.

Moreover, she also contributed to the American team's success in the 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay events, bagging the gold medals. Almost a month after her glorious victories at the Paris Games, she returned to her former track and field team at Harvard.

The Olympian was seen celebrating with her former team from 2019 at the Harvard Club of New York. She took to her Instagram stories to share a few pictures from the celebration and wrote,

At the Tokyo Games, Gabby Thomas secured a bronze medal in her pet event after posting a time of 21.87 seconds to follow Elaine Herah-Thompson and Christine Mboma.

In a recent interview, she reflected on her growth since the Tokyo Games, stating her journey to gold was a result of consistency and careful choices.

“I’ve grown so much as an athlete since Tokyo,” said Thomas. “It’s all part of this process and this grand play of working my way up to be a gold medallist, and then, just going for it and taking that opportunity and doing it." (via Olympics.com)
“It all kind of made sense, it’s a culmination of just years, months, weeks, days and minutes of making the right choice over and over again so I can have the opportunity for gold.”

Straight to the 2024 Games, she became the first American female athlete to secure a gold medal in the 200m since Allyson Felix in 2012.
