Katie Ledecky, Caeleb Dressel, and Allison Schmitt are a few USA Swimming stars who recently attended Elizabeth Beisel’s wedding ceremony in Newport, Rhode Island, on Sunday, September 8. The two-time Olympic medalist Beisel exchanged vows with Jack Nichting, after getting engaged in November 2022.
Beisel, the world champion in the women's 400m individual medley in 2011, met her now-husband Nichting during Season 39 of "Survivor", an American-based reality show, in 2019. On her special day, Beisel looked stunning in a two-piece white wedding dress.
Schmitt posted pictures from the wedding ceremony and pre-wedding celebrations on Instagram where she, Ledecky, and Dressel are seen enjoying their time.
Caeleb’s wife Meghan Dressel, Missy Franklin, Cullen Jones, Kathryn Elise Hoff, and Natalie Hinds were also in attendance.
Beisel retired from competitive swimming at the 2017 World Championships, capping off an incredible career with three medals at the World Championships and three golds at the Pan Pacific Championships. Following her swimming journey, she served as a correspondent and analyst of the sport for NBC.
Katie Ledecky and Elizabeth Beisel performed a duet together at the 2018 Golden Goggle Awards
During the 2018 Golden Goggle Awards where the theme for the event was 'Swimmers’ Got Talent', Katie Ledecky and Elizabeth Beisel stepped out of their comfort zones to perform a duet together. With Ledecky playing and singing the Beatles' "Let It Be" on the piano, Beisel joined her by playing the violin.

Beisel opened up on how nervous both were before their performance and said:
“I'll tell you when we were backstage before we were about to go on stage, we were both holding out our hands like this and we were more nervous than we were for like an Olympic final. We were like, 'Oh my god, what if we mess up? This is so embarrassing, people know this song,' and so it was really nerve-wracking but it was such a cool moment and it's a memory that I'll have for the rest of my life because it was me and Katie getting out of our swimmers' shells.” [02:47 onwards]
Ledecky earned the Female Athlete of the Year title at the 2018 Golden Goggle Awards, her sixth time winning the award in a row.
