In Pictures: Gabby Thomas displays her fashion sense with a bold pose as she visits Maldives for off-season delight

200m Olympic champion Gabby Thomas recently shared pictures from her Maldives vacation. This comes two weeks after her second-place finish in the 200m event of the inaugural Athlos NYC meet, her last track and field event of the season.

After a hectic eight months of track and field competitions, Thomas is enjoying a break before she starts preparations for the 2025 track and field campaign.

She took to her official Instagram account to share a few photos from her Maldives vacation, showcasing her bold personality and impressive physique. In her Instagram Stories, the Olympic gold medalist can be seen wearing a green bikini and enjoying herself at the Joali Being resort on Bodufushi Island in the Maldives.

"I have arrived" Thomas wrote in her story.

After winning three gold medals at the Paris quadrennial event, Thomas competed in just one track meet, Athlos NYC 2024. The Georgia native also pulled out of all the Diamond League events after the Olympics as she invested the majority of her time in outside track activities such as attending WNBA matches.

Gabby Thomas comments on her victory at the 2024 Paris Olympics

Gabby Thomas recently opened up about her impressive performance at the 2024 Paris quadrennial event that saw her clinch her first individual Olympic gold medal in the Women's 200m.

Thomas said that she was under a lot of pressure ahead of the event as a lot of people had high expectations from her. Besides, she also mentioned that she has 'envisioned' the 200m final race numerous times in her mind.

She said (via Telegraph India):

"In every race that I ran, there were a lot of eyeballs on me. There were a lot of expectations. And that was definitely a lot more pressure. And I had to adapt. That’s what all of the best athletes do.”

She further added:

"I envisioned this race over and over from start to finish. I was not prepared for how I was going to feel when I crossed the line as an Olympic champion.”

Thomas' Women's 200m Olympic gold medal was the first for a United States athlete since London 2012 where Allyson Felix clinched the top podium finish.
