American sprint sensation Gabby Thomas has been enjoying the off-season in Maldives after an impressive 2024 season. She is currently on a trip with her boyfriend Spencer McManes where they are staying at the Joali Being Resort.
After her Tokyo Olympics campaign where she took home two medals including a silver in the 4x100m relay and a bronze in the individual 200m behind Jamaican star Elaine Thompson-Herah and Christine Mboma, the USA star earned global recognition following a sensational Paris Olympics campaign where she collected three gold medals in the 200m, women's 4x100m and 4x400m relay events.
Thomas then put on an impressive show at the inaugural Athlos NYC, where she signed as the first racer. At the Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, launched women's exclusive track meet, Thomas only featured in the women's 200m race where she finished second, clocking 22.21s to finish behind compatriot and Paris Olympics bronze medalist Brittany Brown (22.18s). This marked the end of Thomas' 2024 journey.
Following this, Thomas is enjoying a vacation with her boyfriend McManes where she has kept herself involved in multiple activities. She recently prepared sushi, a popular Japanese dish, as she took cooking lessons during her stay. She then offered a glimpse of the sushi she made via her Instagram stories.

Gabby Thomas opened up in an interview with wellandgood.com that it was her boyfriend Spencer McManes who encouraged her to start cooking. She said:
“My boyfriend got me into cooking, which has been really good and healthy for me, because it's so easy to get back from practice and just order food,” Thomas said.
Thomas said she uses an air fryer to cook food for herself. She also added that McManes loves cooking steak. When going out, Clark's, Flo's Wine Bar, and Hank's are some of her favorite spots.
