Nebraska Cornhuskers’ Harper Murray shared snapshots from her ‘Girls Trip’ to Florida, that she took with her sister Kendall and mother Sarah. Jacque Boney, a senior at the University of Michigan volleyball team, was also a part of the trip and joined the Murray family.
Harper shared glimpses of her trip on her Instagram on Saturday, January 4, posting pictures taken in West Palm Beach, a city located in South Florida.
In the photos, Harper is seen with Kendall and Boney. The 24-year-old captioned the post:

After Harper posted the pictures on Instagram, her Nebraska volleyball teammate and senior Kennedi Orr commented on the post, playfully questioning her:
“Where was my invite?”
To which, Harper reacted, writing:
“@kennediorr i’m sorryyyy”
Although her mother Sarah doesn't appear in the pictures Harper uploaded, she was featured in Kendall's post, taken at the same venue.

When Harper Murray opened up about sister encouraging her to play volleyball & inspiration behind #27 jersey
Harper Murray once opened up about how her sister Kendall played a key role in encouraging her to start playing volleyball. In a 2023 interview with Jessica Coody, the announcer for the University of Nebraska Radio Network, Harper shared insights into her childhood volleyball journey, adding (3:56 onwards):
“She was the one that got me into volleyball. We used to have a sand court in our backyard at home. We would go and play all the time so I would say she got me into the sport. I remember being like that little girl on the sidelines at convention centers that would get yelled at by the referees to stop playing because I'd be watching her games, but it's really cool that I'm gonna get to play against her.”
Additionally, she also shared the significance of wearing jersey number 27, saying (4:33 onwards):
“My dad's number when he played at Michigan was 27 and as many people know he ended up dying when I was younger…So, I just think it's just a reminder of why we play and care so much about what we do.”
Notably, former Michigan volleyball star Vada Murray passed away at the age of 44 in 2011 after battling lung cancer for three years, when his daughters, Kendall and Harper, were nine and six, respectively.
