The 2022 World Championships gold medalist, Jordan Chiles, recently shared glimpses from her new Beyonce-inspired leotard for the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships 2024. The annual gymnast event will occur in Fort Worth, Texas, and begin on May 30.
Besides being one of the most promising young gymnasts in the American circuit, Chiles has an avid interest in fashion and pop music. She is one of Beyonce's biggest fans and was among the crowd last year during the American singer's world tour.
Owing to her admiration for Beyonce, Chiles has decided to go to her upcoming tournament with new leotards especially designed with shades of Beyonce's seventh studio album, Renaissance.
Chiles took to her Instagram story to share glimpses of her new leotards. She added in the caption:
"You ain't ready."
Chiles will enter the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Dickies Arena at the back of a solid performance in Connecticut and will be looking to fancy her chances for the Olympic trials. However, she will face strong competition from Simone Biles, Sunisa Lee, Jade Carey, and others.
Jordan Chiles shines at the Core Hydration Classic 2024
Making a comeback to the mat for the first time in this 2024 season after her shoulder injury, Jordan Chiles pulled off a stunning performance at the 2024 edition of the Core Hydration Classic in Connecticut, Hartford.
Going against some of the best in the business, such as the four-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles and the talented Sunisa Lee, Chiles impressed the crowd with her amazing performance in the uneven bars and vaults.
In the uneven bars apparatus, Jordan Chiles finished third with 14.3 points behind Shilese Jones (15.25 points) and Biles (14.55 points) while in the vaults she secured a fourth position with 14.1 points.
In the all-around competition, Chiles finished third with a point tally of 55.45. She was just behind Biles (the winner of the event) and Jones with point tallies of 59.5 and 57.65 respectively.
The Oregon native's performance in the beam balance and floor exercise apparatuses was not up to the high standards that she set for herself. In both events, the 23-year-old finished sixth with 13.700 points in beam balance and 13.350 points in floor exercises.
However, her all-around performance in the event was enough to earn her a qualification for the U.S. Gymnastics Championships, which will also enlighten her chances of qualifying for the Olympic trials scheduled next month.
