Jordan Chiles shared pictures of her retro look, admitting to being a 90s person at heart and 2000s by her birth year. Following her Paris Olympic exploits, Chiles stepped on the Gold Over America tour, which took a stop at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on October 29, 2024.
Jordan Chiles traveled to Paris to participate in her second Olympic Games edition, having previously contributed scores for the team's silver finish at the Tokyo Olympics. In Paris this year, she performed on all four apparatus to help USA win gold in the team event.
However, after she earned the floor bronze despite finishing fifth initially, the Romanian Gymnastics Federation appealed to CAS to overturn the decision for a slip-up of Team USA's inquiry.
The CAS ordered the double Olympic medalist to return her medal some days later. Following heartbreak, Chiles received a customized bronze stopwatch from Flavor Flav (a replacement for the Olympic medal) when she was presenting at the 2024 Video Music Awards.
The 23-year-old also graced the New York Fashion Week in a LaQuan Smith-designed outfit. Some of her other engagements included brand promotions and throwing out the first pitch at a New York Mets game, among others.
On October 29, 2024, the Olympian shared a picture carousel to confess that she was a 90s kid at heart despite being born in the 2000s.
"90’s bby at heart… 2000’s bby in the real world," the caption read.
The retro photo series featured her in a black top and pants, overlayered with an oversized white shirt. She sported a white bandana to match the outfit and was caught in bowling action.
On October 25, 2024, the Olympic gold medalist donned a black jersey dress with jewel-encrusted letters of 'BabyJo' on the back and 'Houston' on the chest.
"the baddest of the baddest… always an h-town hottie," her caption read.
She coordinated the outfit with a classic bandana and black knee-high boots to attend the season-opening match of the Houston Rockets as they went head-on with the Charlotte Hornets.
Jordan Chiles about her jolly nature - "Our sport is already so strict"
Jordan Chiles was named among the Power 100 honorees in the category of Leader in Sports by Ebony Magazine. In an interview with Ebony, the California native shared that her jolly nature keeps her in a light mood since gymnastics is already very taxing.
"Our sport is already so strict so having a light helps put the mood at ease. It's just my personality. I was silenced at a young age and wasn't allowed to express a lot of my emotions and personality. So now, I try to do that as much as I can. Whether I dance, get the crowd involved, cry or be that hype woman for my team. But I also know that I have a job to do in the end and contribute my part," she said.
Despite forfeiting her medal, Jordan Chiles appealed to the Swiss Federal Supreme Court to get back her floor bronze medal earned at the Paris Olympics.
