Jordan Chiles garnered a lot of attention as she shared several pictures in her trendy outfit on Thanksgiving. The gymnast recently joined the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit as an athlete model for the 2025 edition.
Chiles concluded her 2024 season after performing at the Gold Over America Tour, which commenced on September 16, 2024, in Oceanside and completed recently on November 3. She performed in the event along with her fellow gymnasts, such as Simone Biles, Joscelyn Roberson, Hezly Rivera, Jade Carey, Paul Juda, Fred Richards, Brody Malone, and several others.
Before this two-month event, Chiles competed in the Paris Olympics, where she clinched a gold medal in the team all-around event, where Team USA earned a score of 171.296 to trounce Italy and Brazil, who secured second and third place, respectively. Along with this, she was also a part of an unfortunate bronze medal controversy in the floor exercise.
The gymnast is currently in her off-season and is geared up to celebrate Thanksgiving, as she has posted a carousel of pictures showing off her stunning outfit on her Instagram. In her recent update, she donned a black oversized t-shirt and paired it with blue baggy jeans. She also wore knitted headgear and rocked furry knee-rise black boots. The post's caption read:
"Lover girl on thanksgiving 🖤"
The 23-year-old announced a big career move recently and is amped up to release her autobiography, 'I'm That Girl: Living the Power of My Dreams,' on March 4th.
Jordan Chiles opened up about her life after the Paris Olympics
In an interview with the Today Show in November 2024, Jordan Chiles opened up about her life after facing the bronze medal controversy. The gymnast initially attained fifth place in the floor exercise; however, an appeal made by her coach, Cecile Landi, argued that the judges missed the gymnast's one skill. Considering this, Chiles' score was increased to 13.766 from 13.666, pushing her to the third position.
However, after an appeal made by the Romanian team to CAS, arguing that Landi was four seconds late in making her appeal, the American gymnast was stripped of her bronze medal. Weeks following this controversy, Chiles spoke about her life after the incident.
"Honestly, it’s been really, really hard just to comprehend everything that’s been happening. I’ve been able to finally now feel comfortable in a way to talk about what has been happening, it’s just been a difficult time for myself and I’m ready to speak on my truth," said Jordan Chiles.
She added:
“I think now, it’s just the support that’s been around me that I’ve been like, ‘OK, I can’t control anything that’s happening on the outside, I can only control what my truth is, and I know what the truth is, and I know that we were right in everything that we were doing.”
The bronze medal, which was taken away by Jordan Chiles, was her very first individual Olympic medal.
