As the Paris Olympics 2024 looms on the horizon, American swimming icon Katie Ledecky expressed her excitement for the event, sharing pictures from her training session.

Ledecky qualified for her fourth consecutive Olympics after winning the 200m, 400-metre, 800m and 1500m freestyle finals at the US Olympic Swimming Trials held at the Lucas Oil Field Stadium in Indianapolis from June 15 to 23. However, she is most likely to drop the 200m freestyle to focus on the freestyle relay events. Her 800m freestyle victory at the trials made her one of the few swimmers to win an event four times at the US Olympic Trials. She joined her compatriot and another swimming legend with a record 28 Olympic medals, Michael Phelps.

The Washington, DC, native is the reigning 800m freestyle and 1500m freestyle Olympic champion. Following the conclusion of the trials, she joined the training camp in North Carolina to solidify her title defense while adding more Olympic medals to her name. Notably, for the first time in her Olympic career, Ledecky was also named one of the captains of Team USA for swimming at the Paris Olympics. She joined Ryan Murphy, Nic Fink, and Abbey Weitzeil as team captains.

With just five days until the Summer Games, Katie Ledecky shared a sneak peek into her training on Saturday. She posted two pictures from her swim session on her Instagram handle and wrote:
