Michael Phelps made a special appearance at the Phoenix Raceway for the NASCAR Championship Weekend along with his wife, Nicole Johnson, and his kids. The retired swimmer, who is currently delighting in his role as a father, was present at the Championships weekend with his four kids - Boomer, Beckett, Maverick, and Nico.
The legendary swimmer was named the honorary pace car driver for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race on October 23, 2024. Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, and William Byron dominated the top three places during the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race on Sunday, November 10, 2024. Logano came up on top to grab his third Cup Series title.
Phelps earned this prestigious honor amongst others, owing to his illustrious career, where he went on to bag 28 Olympic medals, 23 of them being gold, 33 world championships medals, and multiple world records. He was accompanied by Johnson, who later shared a few glimpses of the event, including their sons curiously absorbing knowledge about the car.
The former swimmer was also seen delighting in the electrifying vibes as he stood next to the trophy for a pose, which he later shared with his fans on his Instagram story and wrote:
"Words can't explain how much fun I had today!"

Michael Phelps showed his excitement for the upcoming edition of 'The Match: Superstars', presented by TNT. After gracefully hanging up his swimming cap and goggles, Phelps is now putting forth his best efforts to achieve excellence in the golfing circuit.
Phelps will next be seen participating in a two-day event on November 21 and 22, 2024, at the Breakers Rees Jones Course at Breakers West Country Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. He took to social media to express his anticipation and wrote:
"The Match is LOADED with star power 🔥Catch me on The Match: Superstars Nov. 21 and 22 on TNT."
The former Olympic swimmer will be joined by Ken Griffey Jr., Charles Barkley, Mark Wahlberg, Bill Murray, Nate Bargatze, Wayne Gretzky, and Blake Griffin.
