Mondo Duplantis and his fiance Desire Inglander celebrated Halloween by posing in iconic Hollywood movie posters, a tradition they have followed since 2022. Duplantis and Inglander are fresh off their dreamy engagement at The Hamptons in New York.
Duplantis and Inglander first met at a Midsummer party in Sweden in 2020 and started dating after the former asked the Swedish actress out on a date. The couple has been making social appearances ever since, whether attending fashion shows together or celebrating Duplantis' pole vault milestones.
Desire Inglander attended the Paris Games, witnessing her fiance take the pole vault victory and break the world record for the ninth time. The former couldn't be present at Duplantis' tenth world-record-breaking event but extended congratulatory notes over a video call. Shortly after, the couple stepped on the red carpet at Bottega Veneta’s spring/summer '25 show in the brand's pre-fall '24 collection.
In between a Vogue Scandinavia shoot, the 24-year-old went down on a knee to ask his long-time girlfriend for marriage at The Hamptons beach resort. The couple got engaged in a picturesque setting in the presence of close ones on October 11, 2024, as confirmed by Vogue magazine.
On October 31, 2024, the newly engaged pair uniquely celebrated Halloween. As posted by Inglander on Instagram, they emulated the star casts in the poster of the iconic movie, 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith'. They dressed up as the 'Ratatouille' lead casts in 2023 and 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' in 2022.
Had too.. Happy Halloween. 2024, 2023, 2022?" the caption read.
In Mr. & Mrs. Smith's poster, Desire posed as Angelina Jolie, while Duplantis channeled Brad Pitt's character. In the second slide, the Olympian posed as Alfredo Linguini and Inglander replaced the rat, Remy from Ratatouille. The next poster had them pose like Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey in the 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' poster.
