The opening ceremony for the Paris Olympics 2024 is a historic one as it's the first in history to take place outside a stadium. The parade will start from the Austerlitz bridge and go from the east to West direction of the Seine River.

It's a 6 km route and will make its way around the two islands at the center of the city. Athletes, who will be in hundreds of boats, will pass through multiple bridges and some venues such as the Parc Urbain La Concorde, and the Esplanade des Invalides.

The parade will come for a small stop at the Iéna Bridge before moving to the final destination at the Trocadéro, which is just in front of the Eiffel Tower. Several big artists from across the globe are expected to perform during the final event including a singing comeback of Celine Dion. Lady Gaga has also been reported to be performing.

The parade will also pass through some of the iconic landmarks in the city. Athletes and viewers will be able to see Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Grand Palais during the opening ceremony.
