Noah Lyles opens up about becoming the fastest man in the world
During his appearance at "The Tonight Show", Noah Lyles talked about what it's like to be dubbed the fastest man in the world, a title he acquired after the 2023 World Championships in Budapest. The American sprinter is the only man to accomplish a sprint double feat after Usain Bolt in the 100m and 200m.
Lyles clinched gold after clocking a 10.83s in the 100m discipline and a 19.51s in the 200m event. In a conversation with Jimmy Fallon, the athlete spoke about this title and jokingly compared his speed in terms of cars' speed limit on public roads.
"I would say 26 miles per hour. If I ran in the school zone, I would get a ticket."
Seemingly revealing the secret behind his speed, the World Champion said:
"I'm putting more than three hundred pounds of force into the blocks."
Noah Lyles will be competing next at the US Olympic Trials and has planned to clinch four gold medals at the Paris Olympics.
