In Pictures: Olivia Dunne, Aleah Finnegan and other LSU gymnasts steal the show during season opener against Iowa State

LSU gymnasts such as Olivia Dunne and Aleah Finnegan recently featured in the team's home victory against the Iowa State. The Tigers accumulated a tally of 197.300 points while Iowa State managed 194.100 points.

Dunne competed in the beam balance and floor exercises event during the clash, scoring 9.825 and 9.875 points on these two apparatuses. Finnegan, on the other hand, participated in all four apparatuses, securing scores of 9.950 in vaults, 9.900 in uneven bars, 9.925 in beam balance, and 9.950 in floors. Other young gymnasts such as Kailin Chio (9.825 in vaults) and Lexi Zeiss (9.800 in uneven bars) also played a key role in the win.

Following the victory, LSU's Instagram handle shared some glimpses from the meet on its stories. Dunne and the other female gymnasts donned leotards with white and purple shades in them.

After a victory on Friday, Olivia Dunne and the LSU Tigers will next feature at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate quad on Jan 11 and then will host the Florida Gators on Jan 17.

Olivia Dunne shed light on her plans after the conclusion of her LSU days

Olivia Dunne opened up about the career paths she would like to explore after the conclusion of her collegiate career at LSU. She is currently in her last year with the Tigers.

In an interview, Dunne remarked that she would like to continue working in the sports realm after college. Additionally, she also revealed her "Livy fund" at LSU through which she aims to help young female athletes in the University with NIL deals. She said (via New York Post Sports at 00:10):

"I've always loved sports, so definitely something in the sports realm but I have a fund at LSU called the Livy fund and it's to help the female student-athletes at LSU get NIL deals because that's like sometimes half the battle. Girls don't know where to start and it's very important to capitalize on your NIL while you're in college if you are a female because there are not a lot of professional leagues after college for most women's sports."

Olivia Dunne is currently one of the most prominent collegiate athletes with an immense social media fan base.
