Olivia Dunne on returning to LSU for the fifth year
In 2024, Olivia Dunne did the unthinkable for the LSU Tigers. Not only did she help the team secure the SEC Championships, but also contributed to the historic victory at the NCAA Championships.
The 22-year-old gymnast, in a video published in July 2024 on Instagram, mentioned:
"Dear LSU, these past four years have changed my life. There is something about putting on a purple and gold leotard. There's something about competing in front of 13,000 screaming tiger fans."
Dunne also announced that she was returning for her fifth and final year at LSU, for she was 'not done yet'.
"There's something about being pushed by your coaches to be your very best. And there's something about being part of a team that made school history. And no matter how many opportunities come my way off the mat, there's just something about LSU. And that's why I'm here to say, I'm not done yet," the gymnast added.
After her stint at LSU, Olivia Dunne has set her goals crystal clear. The American gymnast aims to contribute to the cause of female athletes in every way possible, for which she has already established 'The Livvy Fund'. Through 'The Livvy Fund', the 22-year-old gymnast will help fellow student-athletes like her to secure lucrative NIL [Name, Image, and Likeness] deals for a brighter future in sports.
