Olivia Dunne shared photos in her LSU jersey, paired with an emotional six-word message as she embarks on her final season with her college. Dunne was part of the Tigers team that won the first National title in LSU program history.
In 2019, Dunne signed the National Letter of Intent with the Louisiana State University to start classes from the 2020-21 season.
In her first year, her scores anchored the Tigers to a second-place finish at the SEC Championships. She consistently contributed scores on the uneven bars and floor but LSU failed to make a podium finish at the SEC Championships and NCAA Regionals. Two uncharacteristic falls also compelled LSU to sit out of the National Championships, the first heartbreak for the team since 2011.
Having missed the 2022-23 season due to injuries, Dunne matched her career-high on the floor in the following season. She was also part of the team that won the first National title in LSU program history. Though her classes would have technically ended last season, she received an extra year of eligibility for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before kicking off her final season with the Tigers, the Baton Rouge native issued a six-word message, paired with pictures from her official LSU photoshoot.
"In the blink of an eye #supersenior #old," the caption read.
In October 2024, Olivia Dunne stunned in a dazzling leotard with a crown on LSU's media day. Her Instagram post caption read:
"5th times the charm!'
Besides making waves in collegiate gymnastics, Dunne earned significant social media fame after the NIL update. In 2023, she was the most-followed NCAA athlete.
