Multiple-time Olympic gold medalist Ariarne Titmus recently turned heads at the 2024 Champions Stake Day, looking stunning in a white polka dot dress. After making waves in the swimming world, Titmus showed her effortless style as she attended the prestigious horse racing event.
The Australian swimmer displayed her exceptional skills at the French capital, clinching four medals, including two gold, and two silver in 400m freestyle, 4x200m freestyle, 200m freestyle, and 800m freestyle, respectively. The Champions Stakes Day 2024 was held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
She was seen attending the event in a strapless dress that followed the day's theme. Her white dress had a bust cut in the middle. While the upper part of the dress was white, it was followed by bright yellow polka dots. She paired the look with white strappy sandal heels, a barret-like hat, and a small chic bag.
The Australian star swimmer was seen clicking pictures with former jockey Michelle Payne, who was sported in a shoulder design pink dress with a slanted bow in the middle. She completed the look with a white pointed-toe heel and a netting over her eyes.
During the event, she was seen opening a champagne bottle, completely drenching in the shower rained down on her, a glimpse of which she shared on her Instagram story.
The 24-year-old also received the honor of delivering the Melbourne Cup at the Flemington Racecourse.
"I want to make sure I’m ready to go in LA" - Ariarne Titmus gears up for the 2028 Olympics after a successful streak at the Paris Games
Following a victorious streak at the 2024 Paris Games, Ariarne Titmus is taking a break from swimming, with no set date to return. The swimmer conveyed that she was in no hurry to return to the pool and would only make a comeback when she is fully motivated for the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
“I’m definitely having a very extended break," Titmus conveyed. "I haven’t planned when I’m going back to swimming. I want to go back when I feel ready to go back. Could be up to 12 months." (via Sportstar)
"I just want to make sure I’m ready to go in LA. I don’t want to come back too early and, you know, lose that fire, I guess,” she said. “I think four years is a long time, so I want to prepare myself the best for those Olympic Games. For me, that’s the priority, not world championships in the years prior."
So far, Ariarne Titmus has collected eight Olympic medals from two editions of the Games.
