In Pictures: Shaun White shares glimpses of holiday season celebrations with family and fiancee Nina Dobrev

Shaun White recently expressed his delight at being able to spend the holiday season with his family and fiancee Nina Dobrev in the snowy Alps of Aspen, Colorado. The snowboarder retired from the sport in 2022 and has now launched The Snow League, which will debut in March 2025.

White, who is the most decorated snowboarder with most X Games wins in history, shared a series of pictures from his holiday celebrations with his family on Instagram on Sunday.

The first story featured Nina Dobrev lying on the snow with open arms, leaving the Olympian in awe of her "beauty and grace".

"She's beauty, she's grace," he wrote.

White's next story featured Dobrev and his father reading books on a couch while it was snowing outside. The 38-year-old expressed gratitude for the "good day", writing:

"Mornings with the fam✅, Snowing✅, Today's a good day."

Dobrev was spotted showing something on her mobile to two young kids, who are likely the children of White's sister, making him emotional. He also shared a glimpse from their outing on horses, writing:

"Horsin' around for the holidays."

The three-time Olympic champion also remained in touch with snowboarding, strolling through the slopes at blistering speed as seen in a video he posted on his Instagram account.

"Just a Sunday stroll 😚," he captioned the video.

White competed in five Winter Olympic Games and won three gold medals in the half-pipe snowboarding, the most by anyone. He also holds the record for most X Games gold medals and is now set to debut with his inaugural edition of The Snow League on March 7-8. The league focuses on snowboarding and freeskiing and will witness 36 athletes in its first edition.

"Still floating after this night" - Shaun White reflects on engagement with Nina Dobrev

Shaun White and Nina Dobrev first met during an awards show in 2012 but it wasn't until the 2020 COVID-19 quarantine situation that they started dating each other. Fast forward to four years, they were preparing to say "I do" to each other.

The couple got engaged in October 2024, and reflecting on the moment a few weeks later, White said he was still floating in its bliss and was grateful to turn their quarantine romance into a forever love.

"Still floating after this night! I’m beside myself to be with this amazing woman and to be joining her beautiful family!! Our quarantine romance turned into this beautiful relationship and now a forever love," he said.

The 38-year-old shared that while they seemed a happy couple online, they too had gone through their share of struggles but it was their ability to communicate and repair that kept them going.

"Believe me when I say that this app mostly shows us at our best. Behind the curtain like any relationship, we’ve had our struggles. But it’s our ability to communicate and repair that keeps us moving forward together. I’m so thankful for the life lessons, gratitude, adventure and love that Nina has taught me, and I only wish to show her the same in return. I guess we are doing the dam thing, baby! Anyways… I’m not crying, you’re crying 😅😭," Shaun White concluded.

As the snowboarder continues to break new ground in his business career, Nina Dobrev also continues to shine in her decorated acting career, making it to Netfix's Reunion in 2024.
