Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce shared glimpses of her life lately with her son, Zyon, describing each event uniquely. Though the Jamaican vied for her last Games appearance in Paris, an injury forced her to sit out of the global event.

Having dealt with a persistent knee issue in 2024, followed by the Paris Olympic setback, the 37-year-old shifted her attention to enjoying life beyond track and field, especially with her son, Zyon.

In an Instagram post on December 16, 2024, the five-time 100m World gold medalist shared a picture carousel of her embracing the holiday spirit with her son.

The series encompassed photos of the mother-son duo at the gym, Zyon with the Santa cap, their home Christmas tree, Zyon's Nike possessions, and him showing off 'six pack abs' to his Olympian mother.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce also shared a frame at the PRF Six-a-Side Championship Finals, the Junior School Challenge Quiz Finals, and with the winners of the latter event. In one of the slides, she added a wise message, saying:

"Ecclesiastes 11:4 - But there are some things you cannot take a chance. If you wait for perfect weather, you will never plant your seeds."

Her post caption described each slide with her unique take.

The eight-time Olympic medalist competed only thrice in the 2024 season, debuting at the FAA French Firay event in Jamaica. She then competed at the Jamaican Championships, finishing third in the 100m finals.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce sustained an injury before her 100m semi-finals at the Paris Olympics, ending her fifth Olympic appearance bid. Soon after, the 37-year-old took to her Instagram story to respond to a fan, who wished to know her way of finding motivation in life.

"I discover a new 'why' as my life evolves. Sometimes that's found in reflecting on what excites or challenges me in the present. It could be a new goal, a fear to overcome, or simply rediscovering joy in the process. Your 'why' doesn't necessarily change, it compounds - embrace it.”

Dubbed Pocket Rocket for her prowess on the track, Fraser-Pryce amassed eight Olympic medals in her career. She became the first Caribbean woman to clinch gold in the 100m at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and continued her momentum in the following years to collect more individual sprinting titles than any other track and field woman in history.

Fraser-Pryce won the 2023 Laureus World Sports Award for Sportswoman of the Year.
