Following her Paris Olympics 2024 qualification, gymnastics icon Simone Biles shared captivating pictures as she went out on a date night with her husband, Jonathan Owens.

Simone Biles made it to her third consecutive Olympic event on Sunday, June 30, following the conclusion of the US Olympic gymnastics trials in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The 27-year-old scored 117.225 to finish at the top of the table and joined the five-woman squad of Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Joscelyn Roberson, and Hezly Rivera, with Leanne Wong selected as an alternate. With her qualification, Biles also became the oldest women's gymnast to compete for the American team in an Olympic event since 1952.

Biles' family, including her parents and husband Jonathan Owens, were also present at the Target Center as the gymnast secured her ticket to yet another Olympics. Celebrating her qualification for Paris, Biles enjoyed a special date night with Owens and shared the pictures from their retreat on her Instagram stories.

One of the pictures she shared was of a drinks menu; the other was a selfie of the couple in which Owens was kissing her. She also shared a picture of their drinks, followed by an image of their meal.

Jonathan Owens to miss training camp to support Simone Biles at the Paris Olympics

Simone Biles will enter the French capital for her third Olympic campaign, set to kick off in 21 days at Bercy Arena. Biles is one of the top contenders for winning multiple medals at the French Games.

To ensure Biles has the much-needed support at the Paris Olympics—unlike in Tokyo, where COVID regulations restricted family members from supporting her—the Chicago Bears have permitted Jonathan Owens to be with his wife during the Olympics. Owens will not be participating in the NFL training scheduled for the same time as the Olympics.

Simone Biles confirmed the news and stated (via NBC Chicago):

"The Bears are actually granting him a couple days off from training camp, so he’ll be there, yes. For just a short little time."

The Ohio native is thrilled that Owens has been granted the permission, speaking about it, she added:

"Anytime we can show up for one another in support, we just get super excited because our schedules don't align that much."

She added that when their schedules coincide, it becomes really important for both of them to show up and support each other.
