Simone Biles posed in her husband Jonathan Owens-themed attire inside the NFL arena, where the Chicago Bears clashed with the Cincinnati Bengals in NFL preseason Week 2. Biles has constantly cheered her husband since last year when Owens played for the Green Bay Packers, the Bears' strongest rival.
Biles, 27, competed in her third Olympic edition in Paris, winning gold in the vault, team, and all-around and silver in floor exercise. Fresh off extending her Olympic medal tally to 11, Biles reached Soldier Field for her husband's first match with the Chicago Bears.
Resembling her previous NFL appearances in Green Bay Packers' matches, she graced the NFL sidelines in a Jonathan Owens-themed oversized jacket with the latter's face printed all over. Biles wore a charcoal dress underneath, matching her bowl hat's color. She also sported a pair of futuristic wraparound sunglasses and the 'GOAT' necklace to add extra flavor to her look.
She matched her shoes with the jacket but could only wear it on one foot. Biles wore a protective boot on her left leg to attend to the calf injury sustained during the Paris Olympics gymnastics qualifying round. Though her performances were not hampered in the following days, it seemed like the pain continued to bother her.
Taking to her Instagram, she posted a carousel of photos, which featured her posing inside the spectators' box and kissing her husband in the middle of the Chicago Bears' home field.
Simone Biles regularly posted NFL updates, hyping the then-Packers' safety ahead of his feats. In November last year, her excitement went through the roof when Owens scored his first career touchdown in the clash between the Packers and the Detroit Lions.
She took to her X profile to write:
"THATS MY HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY MANS MY MANS MY MANSSSSS LFGGGGGGOOOOOOO!"
Jonathan Owens reciprocated Simone Biles' efforts during her gymnastics events in 2024
Owens appeared at a gymnastics event (2024 Hydration Core Classic) for the first time in a while. After signing a two-year contract with the Bears, he enjoyed his off-season hyping his wife at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
In an X post of NBC Olympics & Paralympics, he rose to his feet when Simone Biles performed the gold-medal-worthy Yurchenko Double Pike on the vault.
Owens was granted special permission from his NFL team to skip training camp, and the Hall of Fame Game to cheer on his wife in Paris. In a press conference after the 2024 US Gymnastic Trials, Biles shared her husband's Paris plan.
"The Bears are actually granting him a couple days off from training camp, so he’ll be there, yes. For just a short little time," she said (via Today).
The 27-year-old's Paris Olympic success catapulted her to the top of the leaderboard as the most decorated US gymnast, surpassing Shannon Miller in the medal tally.
