Two-time Olympian Simone Biles and her USA gymnastics team members for the Paris Olympics 2024 gave the 'finishing touches' to their preparations. Pictures from their last training camp were recently shared on social media.
The seven-member team (including two reserves) for the 2024 Paris Olympics was finalized last month following the conclusion of the 2024 US Olympic Trials in Target Center arena in Minneapolis. Upon the conclusion of the trials, Simone Biles topped the table with an all-around score of 117.225 to secure a ticket to her third Olympics.
Suni Lee placed second, scoring 111.675 and qualifying for her second Olympic Games. Jordan Chiles will also head to the Paris event after placing third with 111.425. Jade Carey (111.350) and Hezly Rivera (111.150) made it to the final cut of the members. Joscelyn Roberson and Leanne Wong will be joining the American team as reserves.
The team is currently training at the camps to dominate the competition. With only eight days left until the Paris Olympics, USA Gymnastics shared a post on their Instagram handle in which Simone Biles, Lee, Chiles, and others could be seen refining their routines ahead of the big outing in France. The caption of USA Gymnastics' post seemed to indicate that their training camp has reached its final stage. They wrote:
"Finishing touches."
What Simone Biles and Suni Lee had to say about the Paris Olympics 2024

Simone Biles has already reached the pinnacle of gymnastics success with seven Olympic medals and 23 world titles, and she is coming for more at the Paris Olympics. The 27-year-old legend has qualified for her third Olympic event on the trot and is the frontrunner to win gold for the United States.
Talking about her performance and Paris Olympics 2024 aspirations, Biles said (via BBC News):
"I knew I wasn’t done after the performances in Tokyo. I just had to get back in the gym, work hard and trust the process. I knew I would be back."
Biles' Olympic teammate and the reigning all-around Olympic champion, Suni Lee is gearing up to participate in her second consecutive Summer Games after recovering from a kidney condition that made her quit gymnastics for a while. Lee got emotional after qualifying for Paris and said that a year ago, she wasn't sure about her qualification.
"A year ago, I didn't even think this was possible. I'm so grateful and all of these ladies are absolutely incredible so, I can't wait to be in Paris!" she told NBC.
Lee further expressed her gratitude to the people who kept pushing her to do better and kept reminding her about her goals.
