At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Suni Lee won three medals: a gold in the team all-around event and a bronze in both the individual all-around and uneven bars.

After her consecutive win in the uneven bars at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games, Lee became the first American woman to earn medals in those events.

Lee struggled with two rare kidney diseases, which caused pain, swelling, and rapid weight gain, making daily activities and training for the Olympics challenging.

Despite her health challenges, the Olympic gold medalist secured three medals at the Paris Olympics. In a follow-up Instagram post, she wrote:

"From being told that I would never be able to do gymnastics again to winning my 5th Olympic medal!! This medal goes deeper than gymnastics. I can't even begin to express how much my health has taken away from me & the strength it has taught me, so to be here is the greatest achievement of all. Grateful for the opportunity to be able to represent Team USA at my second Olympic games! Thank you all for the support."

Following her success in the recent games, in an interview with people.com, she credited Simone Biles for being an 'amazing mentor,' saying:

"I've looked up to her for as long as I can remember since I've been doing gymnastics, elite gymnastics especially, and it's just really cool to see that she's as good a person as she is an athlete, and so having her on the floor and just even get to compete alongside her has been such a dream"

Lee's participation in the 2028 LA Olympics remains uncertain, as she is not currently training (people.com).
