Suni Lee is enjoying Christmas festivities amid the gymnastics off-season and shared glimpses of her celebrations. The American gymnast enjoyed a remarkable 2024 season, winning three medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Earlier, the 21-year-old shared a cozy selfie and was seen wearing a large furry coat. Lee accessorized it with a grey and red fuzzy scarf by Acne Studios wrapped around her head as she cherishes her first holiday season as a New Yorker.
The Olympic champion is a Minnesota native and moved to New York this fall following the 2024 Paris Olympics. Lee was battling two kidney diseases last year and was unsure of her participation in the Games before scripting a remarkable comeback in a short time.
Alongside Simone Biles, Lee played a crucial role in the USA Women's Gymnastics team's gold medal triumph in Paris before winning two more medals in the individual events. She won a bronze medal each in the all-around and uneven bar events before being named one of Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year for her incredible comeback.
"People are like, ‘You shouldn’t be happy. It’s a bronze medal’” - Suni Lee
Speaking in an interview with Glamour after receiving the Women of the Year honor, Suni Lee claimed that she was told she shouldn't be happy with her bronze medal in the all-around competition, where she was the defending champion from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
However, it didn't stop her from celebrating as the 21-year-old knew she had to battle two life-threatening diseases to even get a chance to defend her medals.
“People are like, ‘You shouldn’t be happy. It’s a bronze medal’. But I’m like, ‘You don’t know what I’ve had to go through to get this freaking bronze medal,'” Suni Lee said.
The six-time Olympic medalist also added that she was happy and grateful for all of her medals.
“I’m at such a better place in my life, not even just physically but mentally, to where I can accept everything that’s happened. Not many people get to come here twice and compete with the best of the best. I just felt absolutely amazing. And now I’ve learned to really take everything in, and I think that’s why I’m so happy with all of my medals," she added.
Although she hasn't guaranteed a return yet, the 21-year-old is likely to compete at the 2028 L.A. Olympics as well.
