More than a month after their remarkable achievements at the Paris Olympics and Paralympics, Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall were seen celebrating their victories at a lively party in Las Vegas. The duo became the first couple to win gold medals at the same editions of the Olympics and Paralympics.
Davis-Woodhall claimed a gold medal in the women's long jump after registering a stunning distance of 7.10m to surpass Malaika Mihambo's 6.98m and Jasmine Moore's 6.96m. Hunter also clinched his first gold medal at the Paralympic Games in the 400m T62 event in Paris after clocking an incredible 46.36 seconds.
Following their respective career milestones, the couple has been navigating a busy schedule, including giving interviews, attending media appearances, visiting the hospital that gave Woodhall's journey a kickstart, and more. The husband and wife duo was recently seen attending a vibrant party at the lavish XS Nightclub in Las Vegas.
The Olympian and the Paralympian were seen dancing amidst the cheerleaders holding their posters with the American DJ and music producer Diplo providing music for the night. Woodhall even shared a picture of themselves taking a bite of a whole cake. Both of them were seen dancing in the nightclub joyfully, enjoying the music and each other's company.
"Going through so many trials and tribulations" - Tara Davis-Woodhall reflects on the athletics journey to the Olympics along with her husband
Fresh off her Olympic victory in Paris, Tara Davis-Woodhall reflected on the journey she shared with her husband Hunter Woodhall over the past few years.
She highlighted the challenges they faced, including the injuries and difficult seasons, and stated that despite their struggles they were focused on achieving something significant in Paris.
"Just because we've done this whole entire process together, not just this year, but the past six years, going through so many trials and tribulations and injuries and bad seasons," Tara Davis-Woodhall said.
"And then finally, both of us just deciding, 'Hey, we want to do something really special in Paris', and the lead-up to that and then all of that hard work and sacrifice led to those two incredible moments that neither of us will ever forget."
After meeting for the first time in 2017, they got engaged in September 2021, followed by their wedding on October 16, 2022.
