Tara Davis-Woodhall secured a comfortable victory at the 2024 NYC Grand Prix by touching the 7.17m mark. Her fourth consecutive above 7m mark made her the only athlete with this achievement in 2024. Donning Lululemon athletic wear, Davis-Woodhall claimed victory in a voguish manner.

Tara Davis-Woodhall jumped 6.84m to secure the sixth position in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic finals. In 2023, she was stripped of the national long jumping title she earned at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships, in the wake of a failed drug test. She then marked her return at the 2023 World Athletics Championships to finish with the silver, jumping 6.91m.

2024 has been a successful year for her by far. She commenced her gold-winning journey by winning the long jump title at the World Indoor Championships. She was stoked to claim her first-ever World title, in anticipation of the Paris Olympics.

At the recently concluded NYC Grand Prix, Tara Davis-Woodhall jumped 7.14m to equal the collegiate record she set at the 2021 Texas Relays. In an Instagram post by a photographer, Davis-Woodhall looked powerful sporting box braids. The black-and-red leotard from the apparel giant Lululemon sat perfectly with her fiery personality in the long jump arena.

The Instagram post caption also paid tribute to Tara Davis-Woodhall's signature cowboy style.

She clocked 7.16m at the Arkansas Twilight, John McDonnell Field, Fayetteville, and 7.18m at the USA Indoor Championships. She leaped 7.07m in the World Indoors and 7.14m in the NYC Grand Prix. Four above 7m mark back-to-back cemented her name as one of the top seeds at the Paris Olympics.

Known for her bubbly personality, Tara Davis-Woodhall has never been spotted without a wide smile. In the most tense situations, she can loosen the tension with her presence. She also garners love for the little dance celebrations after her performances and for topping her looks with her signature cowboy hat.

In an interview with CNN Sport, she spoke about how much of a social butterfly she is, always cheering on teammates with full energy. Her free-spirited nature keeps her going.

"My entire M.O. (modus operandi) is have fun. When I sit down and focus, no one’s home. I’m not that type of an athlete. I need to be all over the place cheering my teammates on – that’s how I’ve always been in this sport, it’s the way to keep me energized and keep me going.”

Having competed at the Tokyo Olympics, Davis-Woodhall has taken lessons from her previous Olympiad and wishes to better her executions in Paris.
