In Pictures: Tia Jones and fiance Xavier Worthy get cozy with each other during Christmas celebrations

Tia Jones and her fiance, Kansas City Chiefs' Wide Receiver Xavier Worthy were in full celebration mode on Christmas Eve. The couple made their relationship official earlier this year before getting engaged in July.

The couple shared a carousel of pictures from their Christmas celebrations on their joint Instagram account on Tuesday, December 24. The pair could be seen getting cozy with each other in their decorated house, which was lit up with Christmas lights, a tall tree, and a Santa-themed bed.

Alongside sharing hugs, Worthy was seen kissing Jones on her forehead in one of the pictures with the couple wishing a happy Christmas to their fans as well.

"Merry Christmas From The Worthy’s 🎄🤍🧑‍🎄🤶," they captioned the post

It was the Chiefs' WR who had made the first move at the start of their relationship after DM'ing Jones. However, he got "swiped past" but as destiny had it, Jones shifted to Texas afterward, and a chance meeting led to Worthy asking her out formally.

The American hurdler was publicly spotted with Worthy for the first time at the 2024 Draft Party in April, where the footballer was picked by the Chiefs as the 28th pick. The couple went Instagram official on the following night before Worthy popped up the big question in July.

"He can't beat me in the hurdles" - Tia Jones on racing with Xavier Worthy

Tia Jones was at her relentless best at the start of the 2024 season, with the American tying with Devynne Charlton for the world record in the 60m hurdles in February before an injury cut her indoor season short. She is still the second-fastest in history and holds a massive personal best of 12.38s and believes her fiance Xavier Worthy can't beat her in a hurdles race.

However, she doesn't think she beat the 21-year-old in a flat race. During an appearance on The Pregame Podcast with Tokyo and Sydnee in November, Tia Jones said:

"He can't beat me in the hurdles but he sure gonna beat me on a flat run. I'm not racing him, absolutely not." [17:00]

Worthy is the fastest NFL player in history and holds the Combine record of 4.21s over the 40-yard distance, a time at par with some of the Olympic sprinters while Jones' lifetime best over the 60m distance is 7.43s. The U20 world champion may likely even lose against Worthy over a 100m distance as well.
