Tia Jones was in attendance at yet another NFL Game, cheering for fiancé Xavier Worthy during the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Pittsburg Steelers on Wednesday. The American hurdler was spotted in a customized red outfit as a nod to Worthy and Chiefs.
Jones, who remained out of competition for a large part of the 2024 track and field season due to injuries, has attended a majority of Chiefs' games this season. So, her presence in Wednesday's game was no surprise.
The dress had Worthy's jersey number 1 imprinted both on the back and front and Jones paired the outfit with matching knee-high boots.
Xavier Worthy scored a touchdown in the Chiefs' dominant 29-10 win. The victory also meant they would finish the AFC as the No.1 seed and qualify for playoffs.
The couple, who got engaged in July earlier this year, celebrated Christmas together in their shared home, which they also bought in 2024. In a series of pictures posted on their joint Instagram account on Wednesday, the pair were spotted sharing cozy moments in matching blue outfits.
"Merry Christmas From The Worthy’s 🎄🤍🧑🎄," they captioned the post
"God made me late to that dinner" - Tia Jones recalls meeting Xavier Worthy for the first time
Speaking during an appearance on the Pregame Podcast in November, Tia Jones revealed that fiancé Xavier Worthy sent her a DM on Instagram. However, she ignored the request.
"I received a DM from him before, but I didn't reply. It's Instagram, you know? You just swipe past," she said
However, the 24-year-old moved to Texas afterward, where Worthy was playing for the Texas Longhorns football team. Jones was once late while going out on a dinner with her friends, and the delay resulted in a meetup with the three-time All-Big 12 honoree, who asked her out on a date and she accepted.
"That's why God made me late to that dinner, because I met my man," Tia Jones said about the meeting
The pair were spotted together for the first time at the 2024 Draft Party in April when Worthy was selected by the Chiefs as their No. 28 pick. They made their relationship Instagram official on the following night as Jones shared a few cozy pictures with the NFL rookie.
