Usain Bolt celebrated Christmas with his family in matching red-and-white outfits. The legendary sprinter and his girlfriend Kasi Bennett are parents to three children, twin sons Thunder and Saint Leo Bolt and daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt.
Bolt and Jamaican model Kasi Bennett went public at the 2016 Olympic Games after keeping their relationship under wraps for years. The couple welcomed their firstborn daughter Olympia in May 2020 and twin sons Thunder and Leo in 2021.
The Jamaican often posts about his family on social media, and he has now shared their Christmas celebrations in matching red-and-white checkered fits.
"Merry Christmas from us to you’ll," the 38-year-old's caption read.
Bolt recently announced that his team would host the Annual Christmas Treat at Waldensia Primary School on December 26.
"Thankful for my many blessings.. come join us," his Instagram post caption.
In an interview with People in 2016, Bolt shared the reason behind not tying the knot with Bennett: he wants to follow the path of his parents, Wellesley and Jennifer Bolt.
"I want to have what my parents have. I want to take my time to make sure everything is perfect,” he said.
Usain Bolt once affirmed he would support his children in anything they wished to pursue
Boasting a stellar career, Usain Bolt retired from the sport in 2017 after his World Championships stint. Despite not competing professionally anymore, Bolt stays associated with the sport, and even attends events and podcasts as a special guest.
When every male athlete vied for his world record marks, Bolt shared he wouldn't pressure his kids to take his path. (People magazine; July 23, 2021)
"I'm just going to support them," he said. "That's always a key thing: Just support your child in whatever they want to do. So if they don't want to run, if they don't want to do sports, I'm okay with it."
However, he expressed his wish to see at least one of them grow up to an Olympian so that he could cheer on from the sidelines.
"It would be wonderful to sit in the stands and watch any one of them just to compete," he said. "That's a high level, and even to win, it would be a dream come true. But as I said, I won't pressure. I won't pressure, but it would be a great experience as a dad, as an Olympian, to watch your kid as an Olympian, running with the Olympians."
The world record holder in the 100m and 200m, Bolt is the only track athlete to win the 100m and 200m at three Games in a row (2008, 2012, and 2016). The Jamaican has also amassed more medals at the World Championships than any male athlete in history. He has four Laureus Sportsman of the Year awards on his wall of fame too.
