Mikaela Shiffrin and her fiancé Aleksander Kilde spent some time 'silly-dancing' amid arduous gym sessions, leaving fans in awe of their special bond. The couple has been on a healing journey after sustaining injuries in their respective events at the 2023/24 Audi FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup.
Mikaela Shiffrin, widely considered the greatest alpine skier of all time, concluded the 2023/24 World Cup season by extending her World Cup win tally to 97. However, midway through the season, the Olympian got injured in a downhill race in Italy. Soon after, Kilde suffered a shoulder dislocation and laceration in his right calf from a World Cup downhill crash.
The duo was quick to recover with each other's constant support and return to the skiing slopes. Shiffrin shared glimpses of her training session in Colorado's Copper Mountains, aiming for more success in the 2024/25 World Cup season. In June, Aleksander Kilde also returned to skiing, displaying a gritty performance on the slope.
In a recent Instagram post by Shiffrin, the couple was seen bringing their goofy selves out amid gym sessions. Shiffrin started to dance after pull-ups, while Kilde matched her steps.
"Silly-dancing is the BEST way through a session," Shiffrin captioned the post.
Skiing fans were delighted to see the couple spending quality time together and having fun after a turbulent start to the year.
One fan was confused about whether to see it as a dance party or a gym session.

Mikaela Shiffrin announced her engagement to Aleksander Kilde in April
The alpine skiing athletes first crossed paths at a ski camp and started getting to know each other. They became friends and later transitioned to a committed relationship. In 2021, Kilde announced in a public setting that he was dating Shiffrin.
After a three-year-long relationship, the couple took their bond to the next level, celebrating with engagement rings. In April 2024, the two-time Olympic gold medalist flaunted her diamond ring in a selfie as she smiles by Kilde's side in an Instagram post.
