Fred Kerley's manager recently announced that he won't be participating in the upcoming Stockholm Diamond League. The event drew huge anticipation after Kerley tweeted that he would be breaking Usain Bolt's 100m world record which has been long-standing for 15 years.
The announcement came off as a shocker to track and field enthusiasts who were all in to witness a world-class race at the Stockholm Diamond League.
"Fred Kerley has had problems with injuries during the last week's competition and training which has limited him. That is why he has chosen to cancel his competition at the BAUHAUS gala on June 2, " read the announcement made by his manager.
Fans took to X to express their opinion about his withdrawal from the event considering that he claimed to break the 100m world record in his next race.

With almost a month left for the U.S. Olympic trials, the 100m lineup having Fred Kerley, Christian Coleman, and Noah Lyles among several others makes it one of the most competitive lineups after 2016.
