Felix expressed her sadness over the deadly wildfires in an Instagram stories post on Saturday night and reminisced about her deep love for the city. The seven-time Olympic champion said she was heartbroken for the people who had lost everything and expressed support for those suffering.

"It's been so hard to process what's happening right now in LA. I love this city to my core -- it's the city that raised me and where I now raise my own family. My heart breaks for those who have lost everything," she wrote.
"Praying for our city and sending so much love to everyone who is struggling. Grateful for the firefighters who are risking so much to keep us safe. 💔🙏," Felix added

Allyson Felix has extensively been working for the betterment of female athletes in sports since the 2019 controversy with Nike. The 39-year-old launched a nursery in the Olympic Village at the Paris Olympics, the first-ever such kind of facility available for athletes with children.

Speaking about the initiative's impact in an interview with the BBC, she said:

"When you do come back, that's a huge barrier to be able to re-enter the sport and figure out travelling the world and who is caring for your child. To be able to take something off of that plate, that's what I look to do."

Felix also launched her own shoewear brand, Saysh, in 2021 and a women's focused athlete management company, Always Alpha, in 2024.
