Letsile Tebogo spoke about competing alongside Liberian sprinter, Joseph Fahnbulleh in the Brussels Diamond League finals against a highly competitive line-up comprising some of the best athletes in the world. The 200m Olympic Champion has been on an unbeaten spree since the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Tebogo returned to the track circuit two weeks after the quadrennial event and made back-to-back appearances in the Diamond League. He competed in the 100m and 200m over his last four appearances and emerged victorious against top athletes like Fred Kerley, Kenny Bednarek, and Christian Colemen. Tebogo mentioned in a post-race interview at the Silesia Diamond League that he will be concluding his 2024 season at the Brussels Diamond League Finals.

He will be competing in the men's 200m against Kenny Bednarek, Fred Kerley, and Erriyon Knighton. Letsile Tebogo spoke about competing alongside fellow African athlete Joseph Fahnbulleh in the men's 200m at the Brussels Diamond League Finals. The 21-year-old spoke about representing Africa and competing against the World in a post-race interview.

"It's actually two Africans against the rest of the world because it is me and Jo. So, I believe it is going to be an interesting race to see how Africans can do against the world because they did well in the Olympic final as we had three Africans there. Now it's two, I believe it is going to be a good race on Saturday," he said.

Letsile Tebogo on attempting to break the 200m World record at the Brussels Diamond League

Letsile Tebogo spoke about breaking Usain Bolt's long-standing 200m world record at the Lausanne Diamond League. He claimed that the record was just 10m away and issued a clarification about his plans in an interview at the Silesia Diamond League.

Furthermore, he spoke about the possibility of attempting to break the world record at the Brussels Diamond League and said:

"I said it was 10 meters away from me. So, it is going to take a lot of courage for me to do that. I think a little bit of rest up before we could attempt it again. So, it's going to take a while."

"Maybe, when the body feels good, when the weather is perfect at Brussels. That's when we'll see how the time is going to be but I can't put a date on when I'm going to break the world record because the moment I put the date, I've already put myself under pressure," he added.
