Jade Carey ruled out elite gymnastics in the upcoming season
Jade Carey returned to her college and expressed her wish to enjoy the senior year of her college. With that decision, she also announced that elite competitions would not witness her performance this year.
"I’m really excited for this season in college. I think probably in the beginning, I’ll take it a little bit slow so I have a little bit of downtime. But you never know with me," Carey said. (via Olympics.com)
The Oregon native further added;
"I’m not doing elite this year, so I just have them to focus on and that’s it. I’m really excited to jump in with them and be a leader and help get them to where we want to go.”
Since age 11, Carey has trained under her father Brian Carey, who coaches his daughter at Oregon State University alongside Tanya Chaplin.
