Jade Carey expressed excitement after watching the Phoenix Suns trounce the Denver Nuggets at the NBA Christmas series of games. Carey had a successful 2024 season, winning hearts and accolades at the 2024 Paris Olympics and the Gold Over America tour.

Jade Carey won silver as a US women's gymnastics team member at the Tokyo Olympics before clinching gold at the Paris Olympics. Her prowess on the mat also earned her bronze in the vault event in the French capital. Following her stint at the 2024 Games, the 24-year-old stepped on the Gold Over America tour alongside her US gymnastics teammates.

Months later, she shifted her attention to the NBA, attending the recent matchup between Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets at Footprint Center, Phoenix on December 26, 2024.

On her Instagram handle, she posted photos from the eventful day along with the caption:

"got to see the sun(s)"

On December 19, the three-time Olympic medalist rang in the holiday season with a cookie-decorating ritual and posted about it on her Instagram story. She wrote:

"Cookie decorating.”

The adorable cookies were shaped like a Christmas tree and a red stocking.

Carey kicked off her season with an all-around win at the American Classic, followed by a gold-winning vault feat at the Core Hydration Classic. Her stint at the US Olympic trials was nothing short of impressive, ending first on the vault and second in the floor exercise.

Carey was an all-around qualifier at the Tokyo finals after her teammate Simone Biles withdrew midway. Her gold-winning feat in the floor finals made her the third American in a row to claim the title after Aly Raisman (2012) and Simone Biles (2016). After Tokyo, she joined the Biles-headlined Gold Over America tour's debut edition, taking gymnastics to the common crowd and inspiring the up-and-coming generations.

Carey also participated in the second edition of the tour and was grateful for the month-long experience. Her Instagram post's caption read:

"it’s hard to say goodbye to this incredible show. this tour has been one of the most special times of my life and i am forever grateful to have had this opportunity. to the amazing people who worked day in and day out to make this show possible, i can’t thank you enough. to the cast, thank you for making every single day so special. so many inspiring people that pushed me to be the best version of myself every single day. this show will always hold a special place in my heart."

The Oregon native resumed her NCAA career with the Oregon State Beavers after the Olympics. She boasts an impressive NCAA resume, having amassed five podiums at the National Championships.
